Hours: Monday through Friday: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Summary:
Shares as a team member under the leadership and in collaboration with the Director, the accountability for the 24 hour management of clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, the management of human, fiscal and other resources, the development of personnel, compliance and regulatory and professional standards, strategic planning and the fostering of interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within selected unit(s) of responsibility and the health care institution as a whole.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program
- Current RN licensure in the State of New York
- Baccalaureate in Nursing required or must be actively enrolled in BSN program with completion within three (3) years of assignment
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification or completion of course within six (6) months of assignment
EXPERIENCE- Two (2) years Cardiac Care Experience required
- Three (3) years previous supervisory experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY - Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with all levels of unit personnel, as well as physicians, families, visitors and to manage the activities of a diverse group of professional, nonprofessional and clerical employees

WORKING CONDITIONS- Normal heat, light space
- Frequent exposure to one or more unpleasant physical conditions such as noise, noxious odors, potentially threatening abusive clients and communicable diseases
