Summary:

The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner works under the direct supervision of the Medical Director. The Psychiatric NP is responsible for assisting the Medical Director in the administration of all medical and/or mental health services performed within the scope of Clearview, Pathways and STAR programs. The Psychiatric NP is responsible for consultations, diagnosing, and the provision of therapeutic and corrective measures within the scope of practice identified in their specialty area.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Maintains a current New York State Professional RN license
• Maintains Psychiatric specialty NP Certification
• Meets credentialing requirements of Catholic Health's Medical Staff Office
• CPR /BLS certified
• Prescription privileges in New York State

EXPERIENCE

• One (1) year experience preferred in behavioral health or allied field

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

• Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills
• Computer proficiency
• Strong documentation skills, must be professional, concise
• Demonstrates unconditional positive regard for patients
