Summary:
Serves as the day-to-day Operations Manager for all skilled nursing facility (SNF) rehabilitation services. Plans, organizes and directs the overall operation of the Rehabilitation Department in accordance with current Federal, State and local regulations, Catholic Health policy, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that the rehabilitation needs of the residents are met and maintained on an individual basis. The Site Manager will also be responsible for quality assurance and assessment, care management and evaluation activities.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- Bachelor of Science Degree in an area of Rehabilitation Services;
- A post-professional Master of Science degree in a field directly related to Rehabilitation is preferred;
- Licensed and registered in the State of New York; and
- Maintained a record of continuing education attendance appropriate for the patient population to be treated
EXPERIENCE- Minimum of six (6) years clinical experience and minimum of three (3) years managerial, supervisory or academic experience preferred
- Prior experience in clinical and staff management
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY- Management skills, including previous history of managing budgets;
- Familiarity with information systems design/ operation;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks;
- Must have the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members and visitors;
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into the existing rehabilitation services
- Ability to stand and transfer patients
WORKING CONDITIONS - Considerable amount of bending, stooping, walking, and lifting;
