Summary:
Under the direction of the Compliance and Utilization Manager, Imaging Services, oversees and performs the duties directly involved with quality performance, breast imaging compliance, low dose lung screening (LDCT) compliance, productivity and cost effective supply inventory for Imaging Services system wide. Effectively and efficiently tracks and reports mammography screening, diagnostic and breast ultrasound procedures under MQSA regulations and ACR Guidelines; reviews, tracks and documents pathology for all Birad 4 and Birad 5 patients. Follows and resolves recommendations for LDCT screening patients. Oversees compliance of the image review processes to include but not limited to EQUIP, peer review and peer learning. Reviews RIS reports for patient care quality measures to include but not limited to delay in care, recall rates, and turn-around-times. Reviews patient results for accuracy, prints and sends result letters for all mammography and LDCT patients. Assists in the monitoring and reporting of PDMs, CDOS, AUC, Leapfrog and other quality related items. Assists in the inspection process to include but not limited to ACR, NY State, MQSA, and Joint Commission. Monitors technologists and ancillary personnel to ensure quality performance is maintained throughout the imaging departments system wide. Responsible for all technical aspects regarding quality assurance and supply acquisition with-in Imaging Services. Maintains quality workflow and productivity to include day to day operations as well as overseeing overall cost effective quality program.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- Satisfactory completion of formal training in an AMA approved School of Radiological Technology
- Completion of college level business courses preferred
EXPERIENCE- Three (3) years of experience as a Radiology Technologist
- Minimum two (2) years of experience as a mammographer, experienced in performing QC/QA testing, ACR compliance and MQSA inspections
- Maintains ARRT certification in mammography and NYS DOH License as a Radiologic Technologist
- Experience and understanding of supply inventory, productivity and cost-saving measures

- Pulls, pushes and lifts patients and equipment frequently
