Hours: Varies between 6:30 am and 6 pm
Summary:
The Head Teacher is responsible for following curriculum, add early childhood based planning for classroom, and have age appropriate activities and monitor classroom and teacher assistant
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PRESCHOOLERS - Associates Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field
And No Additional experience necessary
OR - Child Development Associate credential or other office recognized credential specific to the preschool developmental period
AndOne year experience related to caring for children
OR- 9 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field, with a plan of study leading to a:
Ø Child Development Associate credential;
Or
Ø Associates' Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field
AndTwo years' experience related to caring for children
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE INFANTS/TODDLERS- Associates Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field
And One year experience related to caring for infants and toddlers
OR- Infant and toddler Child Care and Education credential
AndTwo years' experience related to caring for infants and toddlers
OR- Infant toddler Child Development Associate credential
AndTwo years' experience related to caring for infants and toddlers
OR- Other office-recognized credential specific to the infant/toddler development period
AndTwo years' experience related to caring for infants and toddlers
OR- Child Development Associate credential
AndTwo years 'experience caring for children, one on which must be related to caring for infants or toddlers
OR- 9 college credits in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field, with a plan of study leading to a:
Ø Infant and toddler Child Care and Education credential;
ORØ Infant Toddler Child Development Associate credential;
ORØ Other Office-recognized credential specific to the infant/toddler development period;
ORØ Associates Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or a related field
AndTwo years' experience related to caring for children
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN - Associates Degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation or a related field
AndNo additional experience required
OR- School age Child care credential or other office-recognized credential specific to the school-age development period
And One year experience working with children less than 13 years of age
ORHigh School Diploma or its equivalent
AndTwo years direct experience working with children less than 13 years of age

WORKING CONDITIONSEach environment is different depending on the age of the child
- Diapering environments and bathroom environments are two of the same goals, but different with in there design and description
- Small equipment suitable to a children, this is the areas in which your main time is spent, health issues are related to children and the illness or germs that that have and share
- Bodily fluids are common in this type of work and learning blood borne pathogens and boldly fluids are necessary to employees and children we serve
- Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; typical of most office jobs
- Occasional exposure to one or more mildly unpleasant physical conditions
- Intermittent exposure to a few unpleasant physical conditions
- Frequent exposure too many disagreeable physical conditions
