Work Schedule: Evenings, Days, with call, weekend and holiday rotation
Hours: primary3p-11p secondary 7-3p, 9-5p, 11p-7a on call, holiday and weekend rotation required will rotate to other modalities including X-ray
Summary:
Performs mammography studies per MQSA standards. All Mammography positions are considered multimodality, and will perform EKG's. All positions will rotate within other modalities as needed. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation as appropriate to the ages of the patients served, based on the area of clinical practice. Position may include multisite rotations.
Mount St. Mary's Hospital consists of multiple locations and associate may be assigned as needed
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training required
- Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology required
- Current NYS license in Radiologic Technology required.
- Current NYS Driver's License required
- Must have completed 40 contact hours of documented training in Mammography and/or advanced certification in Mammography, prior to April 1999.
- Must perform 100 quality mammograms per year.
- Completion of "Basic Cardiac Rhythms for Technicians" course required within 3 months of hire
- Employees who float to other departments must possess the competencies/certifications and minimum requirements of that job classification.
EXPERIENCE
- One (1) to two (2) years Mammography experience preferred
- EKG/ECG training may be done on the job
