8:00 AM to 4:00 PM - occasional evenings and weekend
Summary:
The primary purpose of your job description is to plan, organize and direct the overall operation of the Social Work Department in accordance with the State, Federal and local standards, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by the Administrator, to assure that the medically related emotional and social needs of the resident are met/maintained on an individual basis.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- Must possess a Bachelors degree in Social Work
EXPERIENCE
- Must have a minimum, two (2) years experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, Residential Health Care Facility or other related Medical Facility
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members and visitors
- Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into the existing Social Work Services
- Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non verbal communication
- Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
- Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
