Summary:
Performs all secretarial functions necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the ENT Specialty Medical Services Center. This includes: telephone coverage and messages, greeting and registration of patients; scheduling of patients and monitoring of schedules to ensure appropriate patient flow, scheduling of all diagnostic tests and referrals ordered by the physician; reviewing of insurance coverage and collection of patient balances/co-pays, maintenance of medical records; maintenance and care of instrumentation and equipment in the department, knowledge of and compliance with managed care regulations; and the ability to work well with others in a complex, fast paced setting.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- High School or equivalent required
- Associate's Degree preferred
- A.A.S. in secretarial science or related field preferred
EXPERIENCE- One (1) year of secretarial/clerical experience required
- Five (5) years of secretarial/clerical experience including word processing and filing preferred
