Hours: Days with rotation, 8a-4p, 9a-5p, 10a-6p, 11a-7p
Summary:
Contributes to the company's mission and values by treating patients, visitors and staff with a friendly, helpful demeanor both in person and over the phone. Operates independently as well as cooperatively; maintains professional and effective working relationships with teammates; vendors and physicians. Receives, maintains and issues surgical instrumentation and equipment for use in the operating room.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must complete sterile processing program and certification within one year of employment
EXPERIENCE
- One (1) to two (2) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Knowledge of word processing software; internet software and database software

ENVIRONMENT
- May be exposed to disagreeable conditions: odors, communicable diseases, infections, injuries from patients or equipment
- Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock
- Regularly required to stand; use hands; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Frequently required to walk and sit
- Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must regularly lift up to 25 lbs
