Salary: 18.31-23.33 USD

Facility: Mount St. Mary's Hospital

Shift: Shift 1

Status: Part Time w/Benefits FTE: 0.400000

Bargaining Unit: ACE Associates

Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No

Work Schedule: Days with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Hours: Primarily 8:30a-4:30p, with rotation to 7a-3p Possible weekend and holiday rotation

Summary:

Performs all secretarial functions necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the cardiopulmonary department, and support to the Cardiology Clinic. This includes: telephone coverage and messages; greeting and registration of patients; scheduling of patients and monitoring of schedules to ensure appropriate patient flow, scheduling of all diagnostic tests and referrals ordered by the physician; reviewing of insurance coverage and collection of patient balances/co-pays, maintenance of medical records; knowledge of and compliance with managed care regulations; and the ability to work well with others in a complex, fast paced setting.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION
  • High School or equivalent required
  • Associate's Degree in secretarial science or related field preferred

EXPERIENCE
  • One (1) year of secretarial/clerical experience required
  • Five (5) years of secretarial/clerical experience including word processing and filing preferred
