Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Associate Health Nurse position is to provide occupational health nursing, coordinate and complete annual health assessments and PPDs, maintain statistical data on Associate Health issues. The Associate Health Nurse will provide services for candidates to the Catholic Health System, its associates and medical staff and integrate functions related to Associate Health Services with, Infection Control, Safety, IDM and all hospital departments.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- Current Licensure in New York State as a Practical Nurse required
- Occupational Health and/or Case Management certification preferred
EXPERIENCE- One (1) to three (3) years medical-surgical or occupational health experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY- PC skills and organizational skills required
- Excel skill preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, NYSDOH and JCAHO regulations as they pertain to Associate Health issues required
- New York State Drivers License
- HIV Counseling / Venipuncture
WORKING CONDITIONSENVIRONMENT- May require travel to other sites in the organization
- General office and occupational health clinic environment
- Potential exposure to infectious diseases
- On-call rotation
