Summary:

This position is a Council on Podiatric Medical Education (CPME), and Catholic Health Graduate Medical Education Department (GME) required position that includes Program administrative oversight and onboarding and supervision of multiple Podiatry Resident Physicians enrolled in the Podiatry Resident Training Program at Catholic Health.

This individual will also be responsible for tracking the assignment to and administrative oversight of other UB Resident Physician programs including but not limited to Ophthalmology and Orthopedics who may, from time to time, be assigned to clinical rotations or duties at Catholic Health by their Residency Training Programs.

This individual will play a vital role in the implementation of appropriate and necessary policies, procedures, tracking, and administration within Graduate Medical Education allowing the Podiatry Resident Training Program to move forward. This individual works as required by the CPME and GME under the Catholic Health Director of Graduate Medical Education, Clinical Program Director, and his/her designee(s) in all aspects of the Catholic Health Graduate Medical Education. This individual will play a vital role in the upfront planning of the Program(s) and work collaboratively with all CHS Program Administrators and Directors, and faculty and staff from other institutions to define project scope and implementation strategies with all project participants. Project participants include The University at Buffalo, Kaleida Health, Western New York VA Hospital, Erie County Medical Center the New York State Health Department, and multiple other academic sponsoring organizations or regulatory agencies.

Furthermore, this person will also be responsible for assisting with resident and student personnel matters and recruitment processes in collaboration with several different departments within Catholic Health and non-CHS facilities. Podiatry Resident Training Program Physicians are Catholic Health associates. These departments include but are not limited to the following: IT, Human Resources/Physician Recruitment, Legal Services, Medical Staff, and various other non-CHS sites through which the Residents and students rotate. This individual will also maintain payroll documentation, gather and maintain report data to support accreditation requirements, and demonstrate program compliance for CPME and ACGME standards.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Human and Community Service or other Healthcare related field required


EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate Medical Education knowledge and experience with ACGME, AOA, CPME, AAMC, ECFMG, ERAS, NRMP and other accrediting and related agencies required
  • Experience in Medical Education Training Program Management and oversight preferred
  • Experience with Academic settings and Universities
  • Experience with healthcare operations, large projects and multi-entity large organizations required
  • Experience with large project implementation desired
  • Experience with healthcare clinical and financial system implementations desired
  • Enterprise wide knowledge and relationships desired
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years previous Office Management experience required

ENVIRONMENT


  • Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; typical of most office jobs
  • Projects usually involve departments at several if not all campuses, therefore requiring travel between campuses
  • An unusual work schedule will be a rare occasion
