Salary: 29.29-43.93 USD

Shift: Shift 1

Bargaining Unit: Trinity Medical

Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No

Work Schedule: Days

Hours: 8am - 6pm up to one day a week or as needed

Summary:

The Registered Nurse OBGYN is responsible for the provision of professional nursing care in an office setting. Serves as a liaison between patients and MD/DO. Must independently determine acute vs. non-acute situations and schedules patient appointments based on assessment while maintaining timely flow of patients based on acuity. Communicates medical dispositions when directed by the Physician.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current New York State Licensure
  • Current BLS certification
  • Current ACLS, or completion required within 3 months of employment

EXPERIENCE
  • One (1) to three (3) years current medical/surgical nursing experience required, experience in OBGYN is preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
  • Possess a problem-solving approach and apply good judgment.
  • Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures and pertinent equipment is necessary.
  • OBGYN System knowledge including anatomy, physiology, diseases, treatment and medications is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be responsible and self-motivated.
  • Possess organization, written & verbal communication skills and time management skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize work.
  • Knowledge of standard practices, rules, and regulations related to nursing.
  • Ability to keep accurate records.
  • Competent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team, patients, and community representatives.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Able to work well in stressful situations and conditions with frequent interruptions.
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases, occasional exposure to unpleasant patient elements, contact with patients under wide variety of circumstances

  • Work is performed in an office environment with normal light, heat and air.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
