Work Schedule: Days and Evenings with Call Weekend and Holiday Rotation
Hours: 7a-3p, 8a-4p, 9a-5p, 10a-6p, 11a-7p on call and holiday and weekend rotation required will rotate to offsite locations
Summary:
Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation as appropriate to the ages of the patients served, based on the area of clinical practice. Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation. All diagnostic ultrasound positions are considered multimodality, and will perform EKG's. All positions will rotate within other modalities as needed. Position may include multisite rotations, and require on-call coverage responsibilities.
Mount St. Mary's Hospital consists of multiple locations and associate may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training required
- Current NYS Driver's License required for all employees.
- Graduate of an Approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Registered as an Ultra sonographer with either the ARRT or ARDMS
- Any newly hired RVT certified Ultrasound technologist must be registered in at least one subspecialty certification by the ARRT or ARDMS within 12 months from date of hire
- All Ultrasound technologist are required to obtain registration as a Vascular Technologist with one of the following credentialing organizations within 9 months of hire:
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Vascular Sonography RT(VS)
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS). Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
- MST-15 must be RDMS Registry Eligible
- MST-15A must have current RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) Certification
- Current NYS License in Radiology
- Completion of "Basic Cardiac Rhythms for Technicians" course required within 3 months of hire
- Employees who float to other departments must possess the competencies/certifications and minimum requirements of that job classification.
EXPERIENCE- Previous Clinical Ultrasound Experience and/or Radiographic Experience required
- One (1) Year Ultrasound Experience preferred
- EKG/ECG training may be done on the job
