Hours: Start time varying between 7am -9am end time varying between 3pm-5pm. Expected to adjust schedule and see staff on all 3 shifts evenings and nights
Summary:
Provides supervision and direction to Security and Valet Services staff. Provides direction and takes appropriate actions in handling of sensitive Security situations. Ensures building and grounds are patrolled/monitored so that associates, visitors, and others are provided a safe, secure place to operate within. Functions calmly and provides assistance to other management and staff during all types of facility emergencies. Conducts and/or oversees compliance with required fire drills and actively supports building safety. Performs scheduling and budget control for department(s).
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- High School or equivalent required
- Current Security Guard training, as required by New York State
- Valid NYS driver's License required. Must report any moving violations to department head within (7) days of conviction
- Associates Degree in Criminal Justice or Business Management preferred
- HAZMAT, Fire Safety experience preferred
- Must have and maintain NYS security guard registration card
EXPERIENCE- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Lead Security Guard
- Law enforcement background will be an acceptable alternate to the above
- Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Access Control software knowledge
- Strong supervisory skills
- Department budget management
- Strong customer service skills
- Must be able to read reports and instructions
