Summary:
The Strategic Growth Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and delivery of project management functions across Strategic Growth, Portfolio Management, Facility Planning Design and Construction. Manages multiple projects that are moderate in complexity and diversity, or portions of larger strategic projects to enable operationalization of services in alignment with the duties of IT and Facility Planning, Design and Construction project managers/facility planners. Independently coordinates project resources, (i.e., Directors and Staff Facility Planning Design, Site facilities, PE Directors, Health Care Administrators, Finance/Revenue Cycle, IT, Human Resources, Materials Management, etc. ), develops implementation plans, assigns tasks, and monitors project progress, including managing project scope and overall budget. Creates communication plans, mitigates project risks, and reports project status to stakeholders. The role will be results oriented supporting all initiative-related departments where needed in all aspects of operations, planning, and management including: managing and supporting execution of initiatives, communication with internal and external customers, developing SBAR analyses, managing preparation of presentations and providing supporting research and data. The role will focus on project speed, safety, minimizing costs and cross departmental communication.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree required; completion of education requirement within three (3) years after job placement is also acceptable
- PMP or CAPM Certification from Project Management Institute preferred
- Obtains and maintains any required certifications
- Ability to successfully complete any required training and/or certifications pertinent to software support
- Must have three (3) - six (6) years of experience coordinating or managing projects
- Prefer experience with healthcare systems in a large integrated health network
- Experience in working with people who are geographically dispersed
- Experience with project management tools including Confluence, JIRA, MS Project, and several collaboration and content sharing tools
- Must have very good organizational capabilities for planning, documentation, and proactive communication for multiple system initiatives
- Must possess strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Understanding of successful business practices and working knowledge of healthcare
- Ability to provide high level consulting to customer's project team(s) and corporate stakeholders

- Knowledge of project planning and vendor interactions
- Solid work experience with Confluence, JIRA, MS Office tools, and multiple software and communication tools
- Demonstrated ability to weigh alternatives, determine strategy
- Proficient communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of internal and client organizations (customers and vendors)
- Uses imagination and judgment to recommend workable alternatives to project stakeholders in addition to applying typical methods
- Works on problems of diverse scope with moderate complexity where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors
- Exercises good judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions
- Resolves moderate to complex issues, escalating only the more unusual and/or unique issues when necessary
- Educate staff about Department process and methodologies
- Monitors all initiatives post-operationalization, including initiative "look-backs" to report on success, failure and proposed operational enhancements of initiatives if required
