Summary:
The Clinical and Business Intelligence (CBI) Data Analyst assists the Manager, Clinical and Business Intelligence in maintaining data in the business intelligence system and other related systems across the Catholic Health (CH). The analyst's primary responsibilities will be to maintain the technical integrity of systems for CH, including SQL databases, interfaces and extracts, to support the ongoing and future needs of the clinical and business intelligence and CH. In addition, the analyst will work to support end user reporting needs, database enhancements, and the coordination of information enhancements across applications. Facilitates a process, people, and technology method of transformation. Provides technical and functional analysis to multiple systems and applications. Identifies and implements software solutions for CH business and clinical needs. Prepares specifications and documentation related to systems, and provides support for specified projects, knowing the CBI requirements and technical specifications to support the work. This analyst is a resource to other Information Technology team members. Responsible to know and analyze system requirements and procedures, and interpret and adapt them to meet the needs of the organization.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems or a related subject. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree an Associate's Degree with at least five (5) years of related hospital experience will be considered.
EXPERIENCE
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of computer experience, and familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to learn SQL programming, as demonstrated by mathematical aptitude or prior programming experience/training
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Intermediate computer experience required, with personal computer applications and larger systems.
- Knowledge of healthcare operations preferred
- Knowledge of data security preferred.
- Demonstrated beginner skills with personal computer applications
- Very good organizational and analytical skills
- Demonstrated track record of being able to work effectively independently
- Demonstrated ability to proactively analyze and anticipate impacts of changes or modifications, technical or operational, to assigned areas
- Ability to establish good working relationships with hospital staff at all levels of the organization
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Office environment. Some local travel.
