The Senior Treasury Analyst is responsible for providing management with the financial data, information, and analysis necessary to support operational, investment, and tactical decisions. This analysis is both routine and ad-hoc, prospective (trending, forecasting), and retrospective (performance monitoring). It involves interaction with associate's at all organizational levels and across multiple disciplines. Routine responsibilities include providing journal entries to support the monthly financial statement close, analysis of assigned accounts and programs, distribution of financial reports to internal and external stakeholders, variance analysis, statistical analysis, and participation in the annual budget process. Ad hoc responsibilities include but are not limited to providing pro formas, conducting education and training seminars on financial matters to support Catholic Health policies governing monetary transactions, producing special analysis, reports, and presentations as requested. Works with the Treasury Manager to prepare cash flow projections, debt covenant calculations, ensure compliance with all CH expenditure policies, vendor contracts, vendor communication, escheatment process, and GAAP, as well as tax reporting.
This position's function will also assist Treasury Manager with cash forecasting and management. Areas of responsibility will include oversight of routine cash management activities including daily cash monitoring, weekly and monthly cash forecasting, opening / closing of bank accounts, processing of cash transfers, and auditing of bank charges. This role will work closely with the Senior Cash Accountant position.
The Senior Treasury Analyst will also work closely with the Treasury Manager facilitating debt related matters at a transactional level including supporting bond requisitioning. This position will work in conjunction with the rest of the accounting team to ensure all debt, programmatic transactions, liabilities, and assets are accurately reflected on the Catholic Health financial statements.
A Bachelors in Accounting or Finance is required
CPA and/or CFA preferred but not required
A minimum of five (5) - seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience is required, preferably with a healthcare system
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Knowledge of ERP System and spreadsheet based program, (i.e. Excel) required
Strong knowledge of financial management
Good analytical, and organization skills
Demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting
Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
Comfort in working in a matrix environment
Able to demonstrate ability to work independently
