Summary:

The role of the Director IT Infrastructure Engineering is to plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer systems and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the organization's IT assets. This includes developing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all new and existing network hardware, software, and communication links. This role is also responsible for telephony, data center, end user computing, and other information technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION
  • Bachelors Degree in the network and PC areas of the computer field
  • Masters Degree in one of these same areas above preferred

EXPERIENCE
  • Ten (10) years of experience in the network and PC areas of the computer field (three of which should be in a management capacity)
  • Five (5) - ten (10) years direct experience at implementing Routers, Systems and services at an enterprise level with over 2500 independent devices in a heterogeneous distributed environment
  • Direct healthcare IT experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Expert level experience and knowledge of the following technologies:
    • Application Hosting Technologies
    • Server Virtualization
    • Monitoring and Automation
    • End User Computing Technologies
    • Data Center and Cloud Technologies
    • Network technologies (LAN, WAN, Wireless, SDN)
    • ID and Authentication solutions
    • Unified Communications and Messaging platforms
  • Exposure to Enterprise Architecture Principles like TOGAF


WORKING CONDITIONS



ENVIRONMENT
  • Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; typical of most office jobs
  • Regular exposure to terminal/PC screens, work with and direct electronic power supply and HVAV equipment
  • Must be on-call and reachable 24x7x365 or make alternate arrangements
  • Must be able to transport one-self to multiple work and meeting locations
