Summary:


The Compliance Generalist is a professional who assists the Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer (CCO & PO) in the day-to-day oversight of compliance activities of the organization. This position performs the duties of assessing and monitoring quality improvement opportunities, development of education, training materials and programs, policy/procedure development and investigation and reporting of compliance related matters. The Compliance Generalist will provide support in coordinating Internal Audit efforts and ongoing monitoring of all areas of compliance, including audit, financial, accounting, contractual, legal, and regulatory issues as necessary.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's Degree in in relevant field
  • Recommended Master's Degree in Clinical, Business or Communication field
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of four (4) years in health care compliance with related experience in education and training
  • Minimum of three (3) years health care experience in the area of nursing, coding, or other appropriate health care setting

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
  • Excellent oral and written communication including: policy procedure development/implementation/education, presentations in large and small groups
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including leading and working in teams
  • Ability to work independently, prioritizes, and manages several projects simultaneously and meets strict deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, detailed oriented
  • Sound judgment, discretion and ability to handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Analytical ability: Ability to interpret data and draw conclusions
  • Extensive computer skills required (P/C based: spreadsheets, word processing, and database management)

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Office setting with frequent, local travel required
  • Involves group presentations
  • Hours variable
