The Director Provider Recruitment and Retention will operate as a strategic partner within the Physician Enterprise Department to develop and implement a comprehensive physician recruitment and retention program for Catholic Health and Trinity Medical WNY. This position is responsible for all aspects of provider recruitment and will also be responsible for the development and implementation of strategies and long-range plans to retain the physicians within Catholic Health and Trinity Medical WNY.

The Director Provider Recruitment and Retention is a key member of the recruitment team and interacts with senior executives of Catholic Health and Trinity Medical WNY. The Director manages all on-site aspects of the Recruitment Program including the research and compilation of key provider demographic information, and emerging needs of the community; appropriate identification and screening of candidates for further evaluation and assuring compliance with all recruitment guidelines and regulations.


  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • Three (3) years physician recruitment experience required
  • Five (5) years management experience required
  • Membership in Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR) preferred

  • Demonstrated leadership ability
  • Demonstrated strong communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Experience and knowledge of medical staff issues and demonstrated ability to work with physicians and other providers
  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships among differing levels of management and various disparate groups such as executive management, senior management, midlevel management, physicians and outside contractors
  • Experience in physician recruitment required
  • Knowledge of Stark Regulations and Anti-Kickback Law

  • Regular travel between organizations and to off-site locations as needed
  • Travel to non-Catholic Health sites such as physician offices and other venues in course of duties

  • Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature
  • Frequent use of a motor vehicle to travel between all Catholic Health facilities
