Summary:


The Chemical Dependency Account Representative is responsible for general clerical duties and responsibilities, such as ordering of supplies, filing and report preparation. Responsible for financial monitoring of all Patient accounts including co-payments, payment arrangements, account balances, verification of insurance eligibility, handling questions/concerns regarding patient financial responsibility and high level of customer service. Must demonstrate proficiency in supporting the revenue cycle for Chemical Dependency Services.

Responsibilities:


EDUCATION


  • High School diploma or GED
EXPERIENCE

  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Healthcare insurance verification experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITY

  • Strong computer skills (MS Word and Excel preferred)
  • Demonstrated Customer Service skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Dependable in both production and attendance
  • Self-Motivated
  • Ability to stay calm under stress or dealing with difficult individuals
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to multi task with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain professional appearance and behavior and comply with all confidentiality laws

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Works in an office environment with patients, medical and clinical staff. Will have significant patient contact. May be required to travel between sites
  • Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; typical of most office jobs
