Hours: 7-3, 8-4 and 9-5 variable start time and occasional weekend work
Summary:
The Supervisor of Staffing/Scheduling and Bed Coordination requires an individual with strong computer knowledge and skills, who is able to work under pressure and demonstrate competency in the Tele-tracking and Kronos time and attendance system. This individual will work in collaboration with Nurse Managers, Directors and Administrative Nursing Supervisors in the staffing process through the utilization of Kronos scheduling system and will have oversight responsibility for the overall activities of the staffing coordinators/office. This individual will provide direction to the staffing coordinators to assist Nurse Managers, Directors and Administrative Nursing Supervisors in the day to day and biweekly scheduling operations in accordance with the acuity levels while maintaining quality care. This individual will coordinate data entry into the Kronos scheduler for the nursing departments and process routine reports for schedules, time and attendance, and other reports as requested.
In coordination with the staffing process. Responsible for patient flow (bed assignments; assessing admissions, discharges and transfers), communicating with private physicians/other facilities requesting admissions/transfers to Sisters of Charity Hospital. Throughout the staffing and bed coordination process this individual will also assist in the assessment of the patient/family experience and satisfaction and implement service recovery if indicated as well as notification to the Patient Advocate.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- High School Diploma
- Associates Degree in Healthcare or related field required
EXPERIENCE- Minimum Three (3) years office experience required
- Previous Kronos experience required
- Previous Healthcare experience preferred
- Experience with staffing grids preferred
- Experience with Teletracking, Soarian Clinicals and Medhost strongly preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY- Strong computer skills and ability to use basic office equipment, i.e., Fax, Copier, Scanner
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of the Kronos system
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to enter schedules accurately
- Knowledge of staffing principles in healthcare facility
