Hours: M-F 8 - 4 with periodic need for off-hours coverage and on-call rotation
Summary:
This position directs the delivery, support and maintenance of Revenue Cycle Applications, Health Information Management, and other business and revenue cycle applications to meet the business objectives of the organization. Supports the business strategies with planning and implementation of applications software. Promotes efficiency, collaboration and standardization throughout the organization. Manages resources within assigned IT work teams, aligning resources to the business and organizations strategic needs. Maintains a major responsibility as part of the IT Leadership team in defining and implementing IT strategies, and for executing IT tactical and operational plans. Stays abreast of pertinent regulations, including HIPAA and HITECH, and regulations of NY state, as well as Healthcare industry changes. This position oversees application implementation and support professionals including associates in the Application Programmer Analyst job family supporting the organizational areas of Patient Financial Services, Revenue Cycle and Health Information Management.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- Bachelors Degree with ten (10) year experiences in the computer field, five (5) of which should be in a IT management role
- Masters Degree preferred
EXPERIENCE- Experience with healthcare operations, large projects and multi-entity large organizations required
- Experience with large project implementation desired
- Experience with healthcare clinical and financial system implementations desired
- Enterprise wide knowledge and relationships desired

- Professional experience with Microsoft networking/ Server, enterprise-scale Database engines, and Web-based Application delivery
- Professional experience with Wireless Networking, Distributed Networks and Remote Computing, and Communications technologies
- Professional experience with HIPAA, HITECH, and other Federal and NYS regulations surrounding Healthcare and Health IT
- Position requires local travel and may require occasional out-of-town travel
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to transport oneself to multiple work and meeting locations
- Required to carry CH cell phone and occasionally provide support off-hours. Must be in an on-call rotation which is collectively reachable 24X365
- CH enterprise-wide institutional knowledge and relationships desired
WORKING CONDITIONS- Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; typical of most office jobs
- Projects usually involve departments at several if not all campuses, therefore requiring travel between campuses
- An unusual work schedule will be expected occasionally
