Summary:
The Manager, Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery oversees, develops, and manages the design, implementation and execution of the information technology Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) program. The manager identifies potential problem areas and single points of failure that may result in interruptions to critical operations and facilitates development disaster recovery, data sensitivity, back-up and recovery, and disaster recovery plans and procedures for Catholic Health. The BC/DR program fits into the overall information security program designed to identify and manage information risk faced by Catholic Health. The manager is responsible for defining and promoting BC/DR policies, and ensuring associates and third-parties are adhering to the expectations of those as set forth by Catholic Health.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- B.S. or B.A. in Business, Information Systems, or a related field required
- CBCP, PMP, CISSP, CISA, CISM certification desirable
EXPERIENCE- Candidate must possess at least four (4) years of hands-on IT disaster recovery work experience, including progressive responsibility in at least one or more functional areas of Information Security, Information Technology, or Business Continuity
- Two (2) years demonstrated project management experience preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY- Excellent managerial, interpersonal, analytical, report development, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience creating process documentation and flowcharting
- Experience with NIST CSF, ISO 27001/2, HITRUST, or other control standards desired
- Experience analyzing information gathered in order to identify potential problems or discrepancies
- Experience conducting follow-up reviews of noted deficiencies
- Experience with or knowledge of regulatory compliance such as HIPAA, HITECH, PCI-DSS
- Demonstrated skills with personal computer applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office applications specifically Excel
- Demonstrated track record of project and system documentation
- Demonstrated track record of facilitating discussions and decision making
- Demonstrated ability to proactively analyze and anticipate impacts of any changes or modifications, technical or operational to a complex environment
- Ability to establish good working relationships with hospital staff at all levels
- Ability and means to travel among CH sites, including valid NYS driver's license
- Ability to identify, manage and complete projects with minimal supervision
