Summary:
Provides Administrative support to the Vice President, Care Management and System Director, Imaging Services through strong organization and interpersonal skills. Secondary responsibility to the Manager, Clinical Documentation Integrity and Manager, Revenue Cycle Improvement in the capacity to assist and manage associate timekeeping, education, training and vendor contractual agreements. Responsible for the organization of information, data entry, report generation, maintains all appeals department records and associated requirements, and archival of all pertinent information pertaining to respective departmental needs. Utilizes technical skills, critical thinking and interpersonal skills to support the function of the Care Management, Clinical Documentation Integrity and Clinical Denials and Appeals and Ancillary Diagnostic & Treatment Services Department. Displays the ability to deal with internal associates and external customers/vendors in a fast paced environment. Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying and transmitting text, data and graphics Conserves executive's time by reading, researching and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information, initiating telecommunications. Adheres to all interdepartmental confidentiality
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- Associate's degree required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
EXPERIENCE - Two (2) - four (4) years of administrative assistant experience required
- Three (3) years medical/healthcare office experience required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY- Coding credential preferred
- Proficient knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite and internet
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient typing skills
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Ability to manage workflow and complex work process
- Excellent ability to deal with internal and external customers experiencing stress
- Knowledge of health care and medical terminology
- Ability to work with multiple departments and disciplines and external agencies
- Maintains confidentiality to all material in the Care Management department and Imaging Services Department
- Experience in the use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access software
- Will be exposed to additional specialized software programs
- Knowledge of standard office equipment: copier, fax, printers, etc.
ENVIRONMENT- Normal heat, light, space, and safe working environment; typical of most office jobs
- Travel between facilities may be required on occasion
- Provides support to the Care Management leadership team, Central Intake/Care Connection team
