The inpatient Physician Assistant is a healthcare provider who, working with the interdisciplinary health team, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to both well and ill patients. This multifaceted role includes direct patient care, education, consultation, and research. Physician Assistants will be granted associated privileges by the Executive Committee of the Medical Staff.
Working under the supervision of the Department of Medicine and receiving general direction and reporting to the Vice President of Patient Care Services, the inpatient Physician Assistant (PA) will provide clinical care to non-critical, non-intensive care medicine and cardiology patients. The PA will utilize advanced clinical skills and knowledge to assess patients and manage all aspects of care, including ordering of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
