Summary:

The Manager Talent Acquisition and Retention is responsible for providing oversight to the Talent Acquisition Advisors including leadership, direction, coaching, and mentoring. The Manager is also responsible for all Executive leadership (Director and above) recruitment activity and fill across the system. The manager will provide quality sourcing, interviewing, screening, focused selection methodologies including various business assessment tools and assist in determining a fair compensation package for the Executive leadership positions. This position will work closely with the TA Marketing and Outreach Coordinator to help establish a plan for the outreach efforts within Talent Acquisition by creating a talent brand and marketing strategy by partnering with the community, schools, and local organizations to increase the visibility of the organization, including a diversity plan, and attract the right talent. The manager is responsible to drive recruitment brand awareness through social media, school collaborations, community initiatives, and to coordinate the development of recruitment marketing campaigns. The manager works with the Talent Acquisition Advisors, Director Talent Acquisition and Retention, Talent Acquisition Outreach Coordinator, and Clinical Leadership to target areas to increase the talent pool. Additionally, this position will oversee agency usage throughout the system in coordinating efforts to fill our needs and communicate effectively with third party vendors in a cost effective way. It is this position's role to work with the Director, Talent Acquisition and Retention to develop and effectively communicate recruitment strategy and plans, metrics, and outreach, events, organizational recruitment requirements horizontally with cross-functional peers and at the leadership level in both HR and operations.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required
  • Masters degree in Business or a related field preferred
  • SPHR or PHR Certification preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of ten (10) years progressive recruitment experience
  • One (1) year of executive leadership recruitment
  • One (1) year supervisory, management experience or proven strong leadership skills required
  • Placement/recruitment agency background a plus
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
  • Excellent knowledge of NYS and Federal employment law and regulations
  • Solid PC skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical / critical thinking skills
  • Strong ability to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement specific to recruitment and retention within a healthcare setting
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong ability to apply strategic concepts and initiatives
  • Strong focus on customer / client service satisfaction
