Job Description

Facility: Administrative Regional Training Cntr

Shift: Shift 1

Status: Full Time Flex FTE: 1.000000

Bargaining Unit: ACE Associates

Exempt from Overtime: Exempt: No

Work Schedule: Days with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Hours: 7am - 5pm, occasional weekends, some holidays

Summary:

Answers all incoming calls within 4 rings. Provides basic agency information, and channel calls to appropriate person. Maintains a positive, helpful, professional, public relations image of agency. Clerical duties as assigned which may include assembling the communication files or performing any other clerical duties needed by the agency. Remains calm, positive, helpful, and respectful in a fast paced environment. Accepts direction in a willing and positive manner. Confidential interaction with professionals inside and outside the organization.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Customer service, office or business training helpful
EXPERIENCE
  • One (1) year switchboard experience preferred
  • Computer experience helpful
  • Pleasant and courteous manner
  • Medical terminology helpful
  • Customer service experience helpful
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
  • Understands and maintains the confidential nature of the information handled and discussed
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact with all departments within the organization in positive, respectful manner
  • Ability to function autonomously, make decisions and problem solve
  • Able to deal with interruptions and still remain focused and positive in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to type and operate a computer
  • Ability to work independently set priorities and organizes work
  • Ability to deal effectively and pleasantly with the demands of the job
  • Ability to communicate clearly and politely with others
  • Maintains confidentiality. Minimizes conversation and congestion in reception area
  • Understands and practices the ethical, professional and legal obligations of the Catholic Health System Corporate Compliance Program
  • Consistently demonstrates positive, helpful, respectful manner and voice tone

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Long periods of sitting, long periods of talking on phone and/or paging
  • May be required to work overtime, holidays and weekends as needed
  • Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment; typical of most office jobs
