Hours: Monday-Friday 6am - 6pm occasional Saturdays 6am-2pm
Summary:
Contributes to the company's mission and values by treating patients, visitors and staff with a friendly, helpful demeanor both in person and over the phone. Operates independently as well as cooperatively; maintains professional and effective working relationships with teammates; vendors and physicians. Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure quality and timely patient care. Possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique and combines the knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive, therapeutic, and diagnostic procedures. Under direct supervision of the RN circulator, the surgical technologist may assist with delegated circulator tasks.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- High School diploma
- Current Operating Room Technician Certification through a CAAHEP or ABHES
- Accredited program and maintenance of the CST credential
- Applicant may be grandfathered with documented one year (cumulative) of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a surgical facility in the previous four years prior to January 1, 2015
EXPERIENCE- Previous experience in an operating room preferred
