Summary:

The Staffing Administrator for the Catholic Health In House Agency is a member of the Catholic Health (CH) Talent Acquisition Team whose primary responsibility is to understand and maintain the in house agency nursing scheduling system and how it relates and interfaces with the other nursing departments. The Staffing Administrator is responsible for the development of personnel, compliance and regulatory and professional standards, strategic planning, and scheduling of the associates from the CH in house agency to cover staffing needs in CH facilities due to vacancies and absences. The administrator will provide quality customer service, sourcing, interviewing, candidate selection and offer execution for positions in the assigned functional areas. Additionally, s/he will serve as an ambassador of the organization and point of contact for the CH in house agency staff. The Staffing Administrator will work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to develop recruitment brand awareness for the CH in house agency in the community by networking and attending professional nursing organizations and job fairs. Process improvement and sharing of best practices and strategies for Talent Acquisition is also the responsibility of the administrator.

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

  • Graduate of accredited professional nursing program
  • Current RN licensure in State of New York
  • Current BLS certification


EXPERIENCE

  • Three (3) or more years of clinical nursing experience/charge nurse experience
  • Leadership experience preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Management experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience in Payroll processing and staff scheduling
  • Previous Kronos experience preferred
  • Must be able to demonstrate a mature, caring and empathetic attitude towards customers and associates
  • Must be able to relate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, displaying tact and sensitivity while maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA regulations
  • Computer knowledge and experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, be organized and manage time well
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to provide direction and motivation to staff
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in executing responsibilities and knowing when to ask for assistance when needed
