Summary:
The Manager, Human Resources for Mount St. Mary's Hospital is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all human resources process and initiatives in coordination with site administration, and Corporate HR. Provides supervision to Mount St. Mary's Hospital HR Business Partners related to associate relations, labor relations, recruitment, benefits, and daily HR site operations. Position is responsible for being the designated HR member of the site administrative team to meet the operational needs Mount St. Mary's Hospital. Position is required to oversee and manage all additional HR functions for Mount St. Mary Hospital as requested by the Vice President, HR Operations.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration or Health Care Administration required
- SPHR certification strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE- A minimum of five (5) - ten (10) years of progressive HR related work experience; with a minimum of one (1) - three (3) years of experience of direct report management work experience preferred, as well as HR work experience within a health care work environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITY- Solid strategic planning, analytical, and organization skills
- Excellent knowledge of human resource management, employment and labor law
- Strong facilitation and mediation skills
- Ability to develop and work in a collaborative team environment
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills
- Good strategic planning, analytical, and organization skills
- Excellent PC skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access software applications
- Strong Knowledge of HR Information Systems; preferably Lawson
- Solid knowledge of job requisition software applications; preferably Position Manager
