Job Description

• High School or equivalent required
• Valid current NYS driver's License required. Must report any moving violations to department head within (7) days of conviction
• Security Guard License required upon completion of training course
• Current documented security training course as required by New York State

• Oriented by another security guard before commencing work
• Three (3) months previous experience in security operations preferred
• CPR helpful
• Criminal justice law enforcement or related field preferred

• Must be able to read reports and instructions
• Must be able to communicate in writing and orally
• Research information
• Answer telephones
• Input data into computer programs
• Maintain logs
• Two way radio for communication
• Basic Personal computer operation
• Must be able legally operate a motor vehicle
• Fax
• Photocopier

• Exposed to dangers of assaults/hazards from investigating alarms
• Occasionally subject to violent acts from visitors or patients
• Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
• Frequently moving mechanical parts
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places
• Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold or extreme heat
• Occasionally exposed to odorous chemicals and specimens, housekeeping cleaning agents/chemicals
• Occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals
• Occasionally exposed to extreme heat
• May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases
• Occasionally may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles
• Occasionally subjected to irregular hours
• Regularly exposed to the risk of bloodborne diseases
• May be exposed to extremes of heat and cold in all weather conditions

VACCINE REQUIREMENTS

• Effective January 1st 2022, you must be fully vaccinated with an FDA COVID-19 vaccination and provide proof of your vaccination status as part of your new employee pre-boarding. Exceptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement may be granted for medical reasons.
