Summary:
The Clinical Team Leader LPN is responsible for the provision of professional nursing care and medical assistants in primary care setting. Serves as a liaison between patients, clinical staff, and providers. Leads clinical associates in workflow processes and efficiencies. Must independently determine acute vs. non acute situations and triage patient appointments based on urgency and MD/provider direction. Is responsible for maintaining timely flow of patients based on acuity. Communicates medical dispositions when directed by MD. Responsibilities include training and supervising medical assistants, leading professional nurses, assisting with clinical performance evaluations, and assessing productivity of clinical personnel. Assists with clinical policy implementation and oversight of directives relative to office practice.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
- Current NYS LPN licensure and registration required
- Current BLS Certification Required
EXPERIENCE - Three (3) to five (5) years LPN experience required
- Minimum Three (3) years experience in a medical office practice required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY- Ability to prioritize and problem solve autonomously
- Ability to determine workflow efficiencies
- Strong Verbal, Interpersonal and Communication skills
- Ability to work well in stressful situations and conditions of frequent interruptions
- Ability to triage numerous phone calls and provide education when necessary to patients
- Ability to work well with clerical staff and support business operations
