Work Schedule: Days and Evenings with Weekend and Holiday Rotation

Start and end time varies 9:30am-4pm 12pm-8pm
Summary:
The homemaker is trained to perform the combined duties of dining services, (including cook, kitchen assistant and kitchen activities) housekeeping, laundry and activities. Assists with serving resident meals, snacks and nourishments. Assists elders with caring for their clothing, including mending, washing, sorting, ironing and folding. Performs housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness and neatness of household surroundings. Interacts with residents in leisure-time activities.
Responsibilities:
EDUCATION
- High School diploma, GED or High School student
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in skilled care or residential services for the elderly desirable
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
- Able to operate department specific equipment and to use cleaning products appropriately
