Advanced Practitioner role open at D'Youville - Sisters Health Center

The Advanced Practice Provider is an independent health care provider who, working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary inter-professional health team, is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients. The role will require teaching of other APP's, therefore, an experienced provider is needed. As a medical professional in this dynamic setting, you'll have the opportunity to teach, grow and make a difference in the lives of patients and students.

EDUCATION - NURSE PRACTITIONER
• Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
• Unencumbered registered nursing and nurse practitioner licenses in New York State
• Hold National Certification in specialty care
• Master's Degree required
• Current CPR certification and biannual certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Valid DEA Certificate

EDUCATION - PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
• Graduate of an ARC-PA (Accreditation Review Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) program
• Valid New York State Physician Assistant License
• Valid certification by the NCCPA as developed by the National Board of Medical Examiners
• Current CPR certification and biannual certification required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Valid DEA certificate

EXPERIENCE - NURSE PRACTITIONER
• Two (2) to three (3) years of experience as family nurse practitioner.
• Experience as faculty preceptor preferred.

EXPERIENCE - PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
• Two (2) to three (3) years of experience as physician assistant.
• Experience as preceptor preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
• Teaching skills and interest
• Strong EMR skills
• Ability to communicate to patients of various ages
• Knowledge of patient care coordination related to primary care and referrals
